Top 10 Things We Miss About Football
Просмотров 63 тыс.3 года назад
Today's show is the ten things we about football the most. This episode originally aired in 2011.
Lost the chance to tie because they challenged the Galloway catch and lost a timeout
Bill Walsh is on video twice with that play saying Dwight Clark would be in the back of the end zone. Once before it happened and they ran that play, and again when calling the play. Also the view from behind Montana shows he was putting it where Clark had an opportunity to catch it and the Cowboys defense didn’t. I don’t care either way, it was awesome and won’t change how I feel about it, about the 49ers or about Montana and Clark. Also there’s evidence it was a pass. I would also say if he was throwing it away, that’s a pretty stupid place to put it and could’ve been risky. Why not throw it away like normal if he was throwing it away? Does Montana have a history of getting intercepted when throwing balls away or a history of throwing balls away in the field of play? Or was Clark taller than everybody and Montana threw it high where Clark could catch it and in the direction Clark was running towards? We all know how it looked and that ppl claim he was throwing it away but that’s partially bc if that’s the case, the 49ers win bc of luck, the Cowboys did enough to win but lost bc of a fluke. The Cowboys are better. It takes away from the play being a legendary catch, and takes away it’s importance. But that’s not what happened, it was a pass, a catch, a touchdown, an NFC championship, a Super Bowl appearance, the beginning of a dynasty, and of hall of fame careers.
Sanders was the greatest running back of all time plain and simple.
They need to start another season of these top 10s these were legendary for me as a kid
Speaking as a non Bears fan, Jeff Joniak is the Bears.
Archie Manning was the most overrated player ever. Another great college QB that wasn’t a good NFL QB
RANDALL CUNNINGHAM WAS INCREDIBLE
Hitters can't do what those guys did in those days, so we will never know who was the best going forward.
Brian Bosworth was NOT a bust. WTF!
Rivalries and fullbacks definitely should’ve been the top two, now in 2024 I also miss when there was tackling in the nfl 😂😂💀💀
2017 eagles would also be a great team to add on the updated list. And they finished the job against that years MVP and nfls best team tom brady and the patriots. Also did it with a backup quarterback and were the underdog in every playoff game. The true story of an underdog team who turned it around from 7-9 and missing the playoffs the previous season to going 13-3 and losing their starting mvp caliber qb at the end of the season so even though they secured #1 seed and home advantage they were considered DONE! They went on to finish 16-3 while outscoring their opponents 94-50 in their 3 playoff games and won the superbowl while beating the best qb of all time in his prime Tom Brady who had his best game in his career 505 yards 3 TDs 0 INT vs the Eagles and took an L. With the most yards for any QB in any game in NFL playoff history. Eagles are a very slept on team. What they did was a miracle and their team was full of underdogs from the coaches down to the backup qb Nick Foles. To go From a horrible 7-9 season, to then the next season to go have a magical season like that while dominating all year as the #1 seed and to finish the way they did. You couldn't of asked for a better outcome. The 2017 eagles is ONE OF ONE. No team has done what they did ever within one year and had the run against all odds that they did.
I was waiting to see if the original Hail Mary would be number 1. It had to be right? Drew Pearson admitted that he knocked down Nate Wright on purpose. He had no choice. Also, Paul Krause said that a flag was thrown and then picked up. The Vikings best team ever was robbed for the second time in a minute. Pearson caught a 4th and 17 clearly out of bounds but "America's Team" was not going to be denied by the NFL.
My #1 gunslinger would be John Elway!
How about buffalo bills losing super bowl 25! Duh!
Used to watch Inside the NFL with my Father every single week. Just hearing Harry Kalas's voice brings me straight back to my childhood.
2015Saints vs Giants Brees 39/50 505yds 7TDs vs Eli Manning 30/41 350yds 6TDS
Super Bowl 25 is the GOAT! FACT'S! LEGENDARY!
"The Catch" is a top 5 most overrated play of all time
10 best catches and number 9 isn't even a catch
That's when football was football😮
NFL is as unbiased as merchan's nyc court.
Minneapolis Miracle, NOLA No-Call, Rudolph Push-off, pretty much any New Orleans Saints playoff loss from 2017-19.
Those expansion Bucs teams were the pits. I can recall that the Lions were in a decent bit of those games in 08. I mean 15 touchdowns for an entire season says it all.
Best and hardest hits I’ve ever seen for the modern era comes from Bob Sanders his hit MJD so hard.
Jerry got rid of Bret Favre, forever a clown move!
I loved the music they played during the butt fumble 😂 very fitting

If the Raiders were soooo tuff, why did they target the so-called "soft" Swan and Bradshaw. IF they were so tuff, why didn't they abuse Lambert, Harris, Blount, etc. Picking the "softest" says a lot about how tuff the Raiders were NOT
When I read through the comments and you didn't have both jackson and marcus island in the top ten I quit watching
Worst team ever is the Lions 0-16!!! Duh! LMFAO
Pre-Nissan Datsun.
Darryl Stingley……
Not sure if this list is the greatest that played a substantial amount of time in the 70s or who was the best just counting their play that happened during the 70's. Either way the top 2 dont change they just flip flop. Tarkenton had the best career. Staubach the best per season in the 70's. Ken Anderson is #3 only because Fouts did not have his first truly great season until 1979. If you use the most comprehensive formula for a quarterbacks career ever created, the REAL GOAT scoring system, all 4 of them are in the top 15 quarterbacks since 1947. Bradshaw is highly overrated. From 1970 through 1974 Terry was likely the worst quarterback in all of professional football. He had some great years in 75 and 77-79 but not nearly enough to overwhelm those first 5 seasons. Yes as the quarterback he gets credit for winning championships but in reality he was more of an anchor on the best team in football. Only twice since 1950 has a team had a top 2 defense and running game and NOT won a championship. Those teams were the 72 and 76 Steelers. Bert Jones was amazing but injuries held him to only 3 full seasons.
My last game with my dad and he passed away not to long after.Smoked a big fat joint on soldier field steps right by gate 0 to the left. There was a set of steps that went up to the colanades but there was a fence when u got to the top so you couldn't sneak in.Im pretty sure people did get around it though
Bert Jones #9 Puh-Lease. Remember this sign on MNF: Jones be nimble Care be quick Help the Colts Jump the Oilers slick
U said it u have nothing nothing on the Steelers destroying teams end of story full stop and I love in Pittsburgh 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
😂 funny thing was that before I ever actually watched this episode, the title made me first think of Bobby Hoeing and Rob Johnson.
I want to point out that TV was 1000% greater than what you're seeing now.
Fuck Kstate
why does clint longley look like kenny powers😂😂😂
If Jim brown was so tough why did he leave football to be a movie star
Revising this list, take off McKay and Carroll....put Urban Meyer and Hue Jackson in
I totally noticed you improved the quality of the video! 🏆
My friend father named him Terry because of Bradshaw 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Riggins fumbled and dolphins recovered....strock should have had a chance to win.....remember watching with my father....sb 50 was our last sb together....he already knows the sb winners where he is at now...
What made this comeback crazy is that Seattle did not have a turnover and the Rams didn’t need an onside kick To orchestrate a 17 point comeback without needing a fumble, interception, or onside kick.......... is truly insane
"They're playing like possums. They play dead at home and get killed on the road."
3:19 wow he dragged bro to the ground lmao but they deserved to lose
I don't know in what universe Lofton makes the list and Rodgers doesn't
Dallas signed Emmitt after and cut Lin Elliot cause he lost his confidence. How fast things happen
